Walmart’s $298 laptop probably won’t qualify for free Windows 7 upgrade

Tomorrow's the day that Walmart puts their much anticipated price shattering $298 laptop on sale. This device – a Compaq Presario CQ60-419WM –  breaks the $300 barrier which is quite a feat for a non-Netbook computer.  PC World has information that seems to indicate that those buying this computer – which ships with Windows Vista Home –  will have to shell out another $120 in the fall should they want to upgrade to Windows 7. That's right – there is apparently no free Windows 7 upgrade for this laptop. Confused yet? I bet there will be lots of purchasers who don't get the message either.
